✅ Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01-01-1962, or a person of Indian origin from specified countries. A certificate of eligibility is required for non-Indian citizens.

2. Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 30 Years

This means you must have been born not before 2nd Jan 1996 and not after 1st Jan 2008.

📝 How to Apply Online

  1. Create an Account: Visit the official RRB website (list provided below) and create an account using a valid mobile number and email ID. Details filled here (like mobile number and chosen RRB) cannot be changed later.
  2. Fill Application: Log in and fill the online application form carefully.
  3. Upload Documents:
    • Live Photograph: The application portal will capture your live photo via webcam/mobile camera. Do not upload a pre-existing photo.
    • Signature: Upload a scanned signature in running handwriting (not in BLOCK letters) as per specified format (JPG/JPEG, 30-49 KB).
    • SC/ST Certificate (for free travel pass): Upload in PDF format if applicable.
  4. Pay Fee: Proceed to pay the application fee online.
  5. Submit: Review all details and submit the application. You will receive a confirmation.

🔍 Selection Process

The recruitment process involves multiple stages:

1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

Common for all posts.

  • Duration: 90 Minutes (120 mins for scribe users)
  • No. of Questions: 100 (Mathematics-30, General Intelligence & Reasoning-30, General Awareness-40)
  • Negative Marking: Yes, 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):

  • Duration: 90 Minutes (120 mins for scribe users)
  • No. of Questions: 120 (Mathematics-35, General Intelligence & Reasoning-35, General Awareness-50)
  • Negative Marking: Yes, 1/3 mark deducted for each wrong answer.

3. Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST):

  • For Posts: Accounts Clerk cum Typist & Junior Clerk cum Typist.
  • Criteria: 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi. This is a qualifying test.

4. Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination:

Final stage for shortlisted candidates.
